Adult Sunday School Classes

The Koinonia Class- Room 301

 

This class is informal and discussion based with approximately 23 active members, age 35-64. Couples and singles are both welcome, and refreshments are provided. The class meets on the third floor of the educational building. This class is taught by: Art Krivsky

The Partners Class- Room 305

 

The class was established in 1949 as a couples class, but is now both couples and singles with the view that we are "Partners" with Christ. The class is primarily seniors, although age is not a factor. The teaching style is basically lecture, with discussion throughout the session. The class meets on the third floor of the educational building. This class is taught by: Jim Jackson

 

The Baraca Men of Calvary Class- Room 115

This class consists of senior men, but is open to men of all ages. There are about 25 men on the roll who meet in the fellowship hall. Guests are welcome and encouraged. Several class dinners are held each year, with the men doing most of their own cooking. This class is taught by: Carol Thom

The Philetus Class- Room 116

This class meets in the Chapel, and is for ladies 60 and above. The class has four lunch meetings each year. This class is taught by: Sally Blake

The Morning Glories Class- Room 1

This class is for married and single women of all ages. The class specializes in encouraging each other through Biblical teaching, prayer and fellowship. Past studies have included, What Happens when Women Pray, The Prayer of Jabez, and Secrets of the Vine. The class meets of the right side of the balcony. This class is taught by Vicky Griffith

The Cadence Class- Room 306

The class was named to represent " being in step with Jesus Christ". The class is a group of diverse individuals in age and background and structured to encourage in-depth Bible study and discussion in a free and open manner. Discussions center around Biblical and controversial issues, that impact everyday living as Christians. The class meets on the third floor of the Educational Building. This class is taught by: Glenn Fowlkes

The Exodus Class- Room 209

 

This class is primary post college age, or young adult ages from 22-35. The class meets in the parlor. This class is taught by: Mark Scohy

 

Sunday School Mission Statement

  The mission of the Calvary Baptist Sunday School program is to cultivate a passion for the study and a love of the World of God among children, youth, and adults. Individual Sunday School classes are small groups where church members create personal relationships with other Christians for the purpose of spiritual growth, fellowship, support, and care.
