W
hat a wonderful summer we have had. It has been sunny, hot and active. By this time, vacations are over, the kids are back to school and our routines are back in action. I hope your summer was special and blessed. As I reflect on the summer programs at Calvary, our VBS program was wonderful. All I can say is, “Wow.” Was that a powerful message or what?  I was amazed and honored to be a part of this successful outreach opportunity. Backstage Bible was amazing.  VBS is one of the most practical ways to share Gods love and fulfill our calling to “Go…Teach them to obey everything I have commanded you.” The word “Go” has major implications throughout the Scriptures. There are hundreds of references that say “Go.” God told Abraham, “Go to the Land that I will show you.” After God had spoken to Moses from the burning bush, God told Moses to “Go” to Egypt to free the Israelites and God told Moses that He would “Go” with him.  The prophets were told to “Go.” Jeremiah was told, “You must Go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.” Isaiah was told, “Go to the people.” And Jonah was told, “Go at once.” Jesus himself said countless times in endless situations to “Go.” Jesus said:
Go and sin no more
Go in peace
Go your sins are forgiven
Go your faith has healed you
Go feed the poor
Go make disciples
Go into towns and villages
Go reach out to others
Go I am sending you. Yes, You!

That is our Mission, to “Go” and do likewise! With this concept of “Go,” I am in the process of developing an innovative, creative “Go” ministry. It is clear that God knew what He was doing when He said “Go.” So we should “Go” and do the same. This “Go” ministry will focus on youth. I am hoping to incorporate “Go Phones” as part of this outreach. If you are interested in helping build our Youth program, and want to be a part of this innovative “Go” ministry, please contact me for further details and involvement. Youth are the future of the church. Youth are the future of the community.  Youth are in desperate need of God’s Love. Let’s get ready and “Go” together. I thank you all for your prayers and involvement as we “Go” and make disciples in the name of Christ.
