Calvary’s Senior Minister is Pastor Mark Newland. He and his family live in Cross Lanes, WV. His wife, Colleen, is a Special Education Resource Teacher at J.E. Robins School. Together, they have two children at home, Tiffany and Alisha, along with two pets; a Husky named Angel and a Cat named Gizmo. Colleen and Pastor Mark are both graduates of Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY. Mark received a B.A. with a double major in Religion and Philosophy and a double minor in Ministry and History. He earned his M.Div. from Northeastern Seminary, also in Rochester, NY and is now ordained ABC/USA. Pastor Mark’s hobbies include reading books on prayer, walking, martial arts, motorcross, 4-wheeling, softball and basketball.

Megan lives in St. Albans, WV with her two sons. After High School, she attended West Virginia University briefly before moving to Florida and working at Walt Disney World. Megan then graduated from Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL. She now holds her BFA in Illustration. When not spending time with her family, Megan enjoys painting, drawing, and being outdoors. She has volunteered with Make-A-Wish Foundation, United Way, Red Cross, and was previously a 4-H Volunteer Camping Assistant (VCA).

 Butch has attended Calvary for more than 50 years. Although he was Baptized at the Boulevard Church of Christ, he attended regularly with his parents and transferred his membership to Calvary 18 years ago. Butch attended the University of Tennessee and holds BSBA, LLB, and LLM degrees. A Vietnam era veteran, he is currently employed as Chief Financial Officer for the WV Bureau for Child Support Enforcement and is owner of Southeastern Martial Arts. He and his wife Vicki, who is employed as Executive Assistant to the WV Secretary of State, have four children, Nichole, Brian, Jayson, and Brittany, and reside in the Spring Hill section of South Charleston. In his spare time Butch enjoys reading, teaching Martial Arts and playing basketball.

 

Tom Davis is a lifelong member of Calvary and lives in Charleston with his wife Mary and their son Stephen. Tom is a 1978 graduate of Virginia Tech with a B.S. degree in Animal Science. Tom enjoys softball, basketball, and being around his Calvary Family.
